SMHA is going to be filling the space on the East End Wall
in the Red Arena with a Slogan.  SMHA is asking for your help.  What does hockey mean to you?  Why do you play?  What is important to you?   Submit your quote to SMHA by June 30^th, and if your quote or slogan is chosen, it will be put on the wall. 
Example:  Respect the Game!!

A meeting will be help May 17th, 7pm at the Rec Centre to vote on ammending SMHA By-Law 2.2, regarding SHMA letting the concession go back to the Town of Stettler.

At the AGM, Len Hoac presented an analysis of the concession to all in attendance. 

After some discussion it seems clear to all that we should let the concession go back to the town so that SMHA has no
responsibility or control over the concession.

A  motion was made  to write an ammendment to eliminate 2.2 in SMHA By-laws. Our guidelines will reflect this ammendment.

SMHA has many openings for the upcoming 2012-2013 Hockey Season. The following positions will need to be filled BEFORE REGISTRATION CAN TAKE PLACE. Without all Executive positions filled there will not be a hockey season. Voting for these positions will take place at the SMHA AGM, April 12th, 7pm at the Rec Centre.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR STETTLER MINOR HOCKEY PROVINCIALS
Stettler Minor Hockey is asking for your help with the Provincial Tournament we are hosting March 15-18, 1012.
We will need a number of volunteers to work the weekend of the tournament. We will need volunteers for penalty boxes, score clock, music and announcing during the games, gate admission, raffle table and 50/50 sales for the 23 games that will take place over the 4 days.

If you have concession hours that need to be completed you will be able to count any hours worked at the Provincial tournament towards those hours.
We will also count hours worked towards next seasons volunteer hours if you have already completed your hours for this year
Those who would like to work their concession hours off at the tournament need to sign up before Feb 15 so your concession cheque does not get cashed.
